Timbaland And Nelly Furtado Being Sued For Allegedly Stealing Song

Timbaland and Nelly Furtado are being sued for their hit single 'Do It', for alleged copyright infringement.
The song appeared on Furtado's 2006 album 'Loose' and enjoyed worldwide success, but a Finnish composer is claiming the song copies a track he made earlier.

A lawsuit filed by Kernel Records Oy, suggests 'Do It' uses the "original and central identifying melodic, harmonic and rhythmic components" of the song 'Acidjazzed Evening', reports AllHipHop.

'Acidjazzed Evening' was created in 2000 by Janne Suni and later re-recorded as Commodore 64 SID computer track by Norway's Glenn Rune Gallefoss.

The suits also says Timbaland "knowingly and willfully stole" Gallefoss's creation, when he made Furtado's hit.

The claim refers to copyright infringement and requests that all future release of 'Do It' be withdrawn.
